April Hours: 5, Total Hours: 26 This last month I have really enjoyed spending time reflecting on my time here in NOLA, and the people of the city. Pictured above, alongside my classmates, I helped make little hygiene kits for those in need. Even though this is something small, it was nice to feel like I was actually making an impact for those who need it, compared to my volunteering at the hospital where I have kind of lost that feeling due to my limited scope. Making these kits made me reflect on the small amount of service I did at "Graces at the Green Light" helping serve food to those who are unhoused, and how it’s really nice to be able to directly connect with people and visualize the impact of what you’re doing in the moment. It reminded me that even small acts of service can still be meaningful. I've really enjoyed my time here in New Orleans, and I’ll be sad to leave this July. But from the people I’ve met here, I know a small weekend trip back won’t hurt to see...
